Sarah Ambrose

Sarah qualified as a registered general nurse in 1988 and has worked in a variety of settings, in both clinical and managerial roles. She spent the majority of her nursing career working as an advanced nurse practitioner in primary care, specialising in respiratory care and sexual health. She became a director of OneNorwich Practices in 2019, and has been Chair of the Board since 2020.

During her career Sarah has held a number of additional roles, including the elected nurse member of both Norwich Primary Care Goup and the OneNorwich Practices executive team, the GPN development lead for Norwich and the senior responsible officer for the Norfolk and Waveney Training Hub. She was also an accredited trainer and sessional lecturer for the University of East Anglia.

Passionate about nursing and advocate of the NHS, Sarah has always sought to put patients first. She is committed to driving quality improvement and to reduce inequalities, to ensure the  highest standards of care and experience for everyone.

Sarah has two grown up daughters, both working in the NHS. One is a doctor in Aberdeen, the other is a senior services manager in Norwich.

In her spare time she enjoys country walks, cookery and pottering in the garden, and is also a member of her local village committee.
