Michael Stonard

Mike, our finance director is a Norwich city councillor and is cabinet member for inclusive and sustainable growth, which includes economic development and planning. 

He is responsible for bringing forward large developments such as Anglia Square and East Norwich. 

Mike chairs the East Norwich Public-Private Sector Partnership, the council's Sustainable Development Panel and for seven years was chair of the Board of Norwich Regeneration Ltd, the council's house building company.

He was previously cabinet member for finance. Mike is very much a part of the local community, including as chair of trustees of local charity Future Projects, which supports some of the most vulnerable people in the City and also is part of the Pathways Partnership. 

Mike also worked in NHS management for 25 years, mainly in Primary Care. He was chief executive of several Primary Care Trusts in Norfolk and Suffolk and specialised in financial turnaround. 

In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, walking his dog, listening to vinyl records, movies and generally socialising.
